THE KING OF BROADWAY!!
I've seen the performance of the play on Netflix and I was blown away! I'm one of the rare people who saw the movie when it was released and fell in love with it on the spot. I saw it most of the 14 nights it was in our local theatre, and waited impatiently for the VHS release. This Broadway version is not exactly the same as the movie, but it is EVERY BIT as good as the movie! The songs from the movie are still there, with slightly different lyrics, and there are several new songs. Jack's character is more in-depth than in the movie, and it adds so much interest to the already awesome story. I was excited when I saw it available on Netflix and was riveted from the moment the first note played right through to the very end. In the two days since I found it on Netflix, I've watched it at least 7 times! I live 5 hours away from Raleigh, but am already planning to travel there to see this (it's early March 2018) play as it's one of my favorite stories of all time! I can't wait!
